Hello from Naples! Happy New Year everyone! We hope your 2018 was as great as ours was and you’re ready for an even better 2019. We had the whole family here for Christmas since daughter Liz and her husband David joined us in Naples. We enjoyed some fun times together. We went to the North Naples Church on Christmas Eve followed by dinner at Nicola and Jeff’s home. The Christmas music at North Naples Church
Hello from Naples! The Saturday before Thanksgiving was Fred and Rae’s annual a pre-Thanksgiving party for Fred’s swim group at their house. They had about 40 people and served deep-fried turkey for the main course. Everyone brought side dishes, appetizers and desserts. It was a great time. The T2 Masters swim community is a terrific group of people. If you’ve never done turkey this way, it’s quite an experience. You need a special cooker designed
Hello from Naples! Rae and Fred took a weekend trip to Hanover, NH in September. It was for their annual trip to see a University of Pennsylvania football game with 14 of Fred’s fraternity brothers and their wives. They stayed at an inn in Woodstock, Vermont and had a fabulous time. The weather was perfect (unfortunately, the team lost to Dartmouth) and the food and company were great. Nicola and Jeff also travelled in September.
Hello from Naples! Rae and Fred took two separate trips in August. The first was a river cruise on the Danube and the second was to coastal Maine. Both were great. The river cruise left from Nuremberg Germany and ended in Budapest Hungary. They flew to Prague in the Czech Republic and spent a few days there before joining the ship. They also spent some extra time in Budapest at the end. As usual, for
Hello from Naples! Nicola, Jeff, Riley and Natalie had a wonderful western trip last month. First they traveled to Jackson Hole, WY where they enjoyed the charming town with a surprisingly good food scene, they visited the Tetons, went white water rafting on the Snake River and followed up with a day trip to Yellowstone and a visit to Old Faithful. Then they drove about 2 hours East of Jackson Hole to an even smaller

He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that thousands of people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. Three minutes went by and a middle-aged man noticed there was musician
Hello from Naples! The end of the school year is always bustling with activity so we thought it would be fun to share some news about our recent family activities: Riley was just awarded her yellow belt in Krav Maga which is a system of defense and fighting developed for the Israeli military. She has been working at it for almost a year. Fred escorted Natalie to her year-end softball banquet since Jeff was out
Hello from Naples! The “season” in Naples has been a busy one this year…the final numbers are not in yet, but it appears tourist visits are up about 5% from last year. An interesting statistic showed that 40% of January visitors were here for the first time. We are starting to see evidence that the season is ending as car carriers are roaming the streets picking up vehicles to haul “up north”. Soon Interstate 75
